President Murmu to Visit Durga Temple, National Saras Mela in Vijayawada
Amaravati, Oct 11 (TNT): President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to visit the Sri Durga temple and the National Saras Mela–2026 in Vijayawada, which will be held at Punnami Ghat from October 13 to 31.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday reviewed arrangements for the President’s visit with officials in Amaravati.
Officials informed the Chief Minister that 576 stalls would be set up at the National Saras Mela for women entrepreneurs from various states, including 208 stalls representing Andhra Pradesh. The mela will showcase products made by women members of Self-Help Groups from across the country.
Naidu said the event should provide a major platform for women from Andhra Pradesh Self-Help Groups and rural entrepreneurs to showcase and market their products nationally under the ‘Swayam AP’ brand.
He stressed the need to help women entrepreneurs expand their market reach and promote locally made products.
