President Murmu Presents Padma Awards 2026 at Civil Investiture Ceremony-II
New Delhi, June 23 (TNT): President Droupadi Murmu on Tuesday conferred the Padma Awards 2026 at the Civil Investiture Ceremony-II held at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The President presented the Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri awards to distinguished individuals from various fields in recognition of their exceptional contributions to the nation.
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah were among the dignitaries present at the ceremony.
The Padma Awards, one of the country’s highest civilian honours, are conferred annually in three categories — Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri — to recognise distinguished and exceptional achievements in various disciplines, including art, literature, education, public affairs, science and engineering, medicine, social work, sports and civil service.
The awardees included eminent personalities from diverse fields whose contributions have made a significant impact on society and the nation.
