Pharma City Fire Mishap in Anakapalli District: Dy CM Calls for Immediate Safety Audit in Industrial Areas
Amaravati, June 23 (TNT): Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan on Tuesday expressed grief over the death of two workers and injuries to two others in a fire accident at Dakshini Energy Chemical Factory in Parawada Pharma City of Anakapalli district.
Soon after learning about the incident, the Deputy Chief Minister sought details from district officials and reviewed the situation with the district administration.
According to officials, the accident occurred at around 6 a.m., resulting in the death of two workers, while two others sustained serious injuries.
Pawan Kalyan enquired about the firefighting operations and whether the blaze had been brought under control.
He also called for a review of safety measures being implemented in industrial units to prevent such incidents in future.
Expressing concern over industrial safety, the Deputy Chief Minister directed that an immediate safety audit be conducted in all industries and establishments located in the industrial belts around Visakhapatnam.
He instructed officials to ensure the injured receive the best possible medical treatment and directed the administration to provide all necessary assistance to the affected families.
Conveying his deepest condolences to the bereaved families, Pawan Kalyan assured that the State Government would stand by and support them during this difficult time.
