‘One N Only’ wins Governor’s Trophy at Hyderabad Race Club

Hyderabad, Aug 23 (TNT): ‘One N Only’, ridden by jockey Akshay Kumar and trained by D Netto, won the Governor’s Trophy (1,200 metres), the feature event of the Hyderabad Monsoon Races-2026, at the Hyderabad Race Club in Malakpet on Sunday.

Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, Chief Patron of the Hyderabad Race Club, attended the races and watched the proceedings from the Governor’s Box.

Shukla later presented the Governor’s Trophy to the winning connections and congratulated the owners Ramaseshu Eyunni, Shankar Srinivas, Ashok Ranpise and Donald Anthony Netto, jockey Akshay Kumar and trainer D Netto on their victory.

The races witnessed keen competition and enthusiastic participation throughout the day.

Earlier, Hyderabad Race Club representatives briefed the Governor on the history and evolution of the club. He also visited the club museum and took interest in its historical exhibits and memorabilia.

Hyderabad Race Club Chairperson R Surender Reddy and others were present.
