Hyderabad, Sept 10 (TNT): Global biopharmaceutical company MSD on Thursday inaugurated its expanded Hyderabad Tech Centre, strengthening its global technology network and digital capabilities in artificial intelligence, data, digital platforms, cybersecurity, cloud, automation and software engineering.
The 2.5 lakh sq ft facility was inaugurated by Telangana Minister for Information Technology D Sridhar Babu in the presence of Abhishek Narayan Singh, Senior Vice President, Digital Human Health, MSD.
The Hyderabad Tech Centre, launched in 2025, has expanded in scale and scope as part of MSD’s global technology network. The facility will enable Hyderabad-based teams to contribute to enterprise technology solutions, collaborate with global teams and support digital capabilities for human and animal health, the company said in a release.
Speaking on the occasion, Sridhar Babu said Telangana had developed an end-to-end life sciences ecosystem comprising more than 2,000 companies and Hyderabad had emerged as a global life sciences hub.
The state was bringing together discovery, manufacturing, clinical research and technology under its Next-Gen Life Sciences Policy 2026-30, he said.
Telangana would soon reach 100 Global Capability Centres (GCCs) during the year, building on more than 75 established in the previous year and creating four lakh direct and indirect high-value opportunities across the state, Sridhar Babu said.
Abhishek Narayan Singh said the expanded Tech Centre reflected MSD’s long-term commitment to building digital capabilities and leveraging Hyderabad’s technology ecosystem, digital expertise and talent pool.
The centre would strengthen MSD’s ability to bring together talent, technology and global collaboration to develop scalable solutions, he added.
