Massive Turnout at Modi’s Secunderabad Meeting Signals Political Change in Telangana: State BJP Chief Ramchander Rao

Hyderabad, May 10 (TNT): Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao on Sunday said the enthusiastic response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public meeting at the Parade Ground indicated the beginning of a political transformation in Telangana.

Addressing the massive gathering ahead of the Prime Minister’s speech, Rao said the number of people outside the venue was double those present inside, which, according to him, reflected the immense admiration people have for Narendra Modi.

He said lakhs of people from across Telangana had gathered to extend a grand welcome to the Prime Minister.

“The massive turnout in Secunderabad is a clear indication that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government will come to power in Telangana in the future,” he said.

He expressed gratitude to the people of Telangana for the grand reception accorded to Modi during his first visit to the state after assuming office as Prime Minister for a third consecutive term.

He said Narendra Modi shared a special emotional bond with Telangana and pointed out that September 17,  the historic day marking the merger of the erstwhile Hyderabad State with the Indian Union  also happened to be the Prime Minister’s birthday.

“September 17 is a highly significant day in Telangana’s history and it becomes even more special because it is also the Prime Minister’s birthday,” he remarked.

On behalf of the Telangana BJP unit,   Rao thanked the Prime Minister for dedicating development projects worth nearly Rs 9,377 crore to the nation, stating that the projects would contribute significantly to the development of Telangana and the country.

The BJP leader further said the current struggle in Telangana was against forces attempting to divide the nation.

He stated that the country had once faced threats from Naxalism and Left-Wing Extremism, but under Modi’s leadership India was progressing towards becoming free from such challenges.

Rao also alleged that certain political parties were attempting to divide the country in the name of North and South and accused the Indian National Congress of promoting dynastic politics and corruption.

He urged BJP workers and the people of Telangana to take Prime Minister Modi’s message of development to every household across the state.

Concluding his address, the BJP leader said once again extended a grand welcome to the Prime Minister on behalf of the BJP, party workers and the people of Telangana.
