Madhya Pradesh Tahsildar trainees study Telangana’s Prajavani grievance redressal system

Hyderabad, July 17 (TNT): A batch of 26 Tahsildars from Madhya Pradesh, undergoing training at the Dr. MCR Human Resource Development Institute in Hyderabad, visited the Telangana government’s Prajavani programme on Friday as part of an exposure visit.

The trainee officers visited the Chief Minister’s public grievance redressal programme at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Praja Bhavan in Begumpet to study its functioning and citizen service delivery mechanisms.

State Nodal Officer for Prajavani K. Vidya Sagar briefed the officers on the objectives, institutional framework and operational mechanism of the programme through a detailed presentation.

The officers observed the grievance redressal process and interacted with officials at departmental counters, grievance registration desks and citizens who had attended the programme to gain first-hand understanding of its implementation.

The visiting officers appreciated Prajavani as a citizen-centric initiative that enables senior government officials to directly hear public grievances, explain the process of redressal and ensure petitions are taken up for timely disposal.

They also commended the programme’s technology-enabled system, including online registration of grievances, electronic assignment of petitions to departments, continuous monitoring of disposal and collection of Action Taken Reports (ATRs) from grievance redressal officers.

The officers further appreciated the citizen-friendly facilities available at the venue, including petition drafting assistance, departmental facilitation counters, affordable meals and special arrangements for senior citizens and persons with disabilities.

Describing the visit as a valuable learning experience, the trainee Tahsildars appreciated the Telangana government’s efforts to ensure transparent, accessible and responsive public grievance redressal through the Prajavani programme.
