Local body polls: TTD Bars Recommendation Letters for Darshan, Accommodation During Model Code of Conduct
Tirumala, Oct 20 (TNT): Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) on Tuesday announced that recommendation letters for Srivari darshan and accommodation in Tirumala will not be accepted during the Model Code of Conduct in force for the local body elections.
In a statement, TTD said darshan and accommodation facilities would be provided only to protocol dignitaries visiting in person.
The restriction will remain in force for the entire duration of the Model Code of Conduct, the temple administration said.
TTD appealed to devotees to take note of the guidelines and cooperate with the authorities.
