KTR Accuses Telangana Govt of Misusing 22-A Restrictions, Promises Political Campaign

Hyderabad, Aug 8 (TNT): BRS working president K T Rama Rao (KTR) on Saturday accused the Telangana government of expanding restrictions under Section 22-A and creating difficulties for ordinary property owners.

Addressing the media at his residence in Nandi Nagar here, KTR alleged that several private properties were being brought under the prohibited-properties list, preventing owners from selling or otherwise dealing with their properties.

He alleged that the restrictions were being used to harass property owners and create opportunities for illegal collections.

KTR said the BRS would expose what it described as irregularities relating to 22-A restrictions, HILTP, TDR transactions and other land-related decisions of the Congress government.

He said the party would take these issues to the people through sustained political campaigns and awareness programmes and would fight for the protection of public assets as well as properties belonging to ordinary citizens.

The BRS leader said the party would also place the alleged irregularities before the judiciary and continue to mobilise public opinion on land-related issues.

KTR reiterated that the BRS would not remain silent on matters concerning what he described as the protection of Telangana’s interests and public assets.
