Jyesthabhishekam Concludes at Tirumala; Sri Malayappa Swamy Adorns Golden Kavacham

Tirumala, June 28(TNT): The three-day annual Jyesthabhishekam of Sri Malayappa Swamy concluded with religious fervour at the Tirumala temple on Sunday, with the processional deity appearing in the sacred Golden Kavacham (Swarna Kavacham).

On the concluding day, Sri Malayappa Swamy, accompanied by Sridevi and Bhudevi, blessed thousands of devotees while adorned in the Golden Kavacham, which the Utsava deities will continue to wear throughout the year until the next Jyesthabhishekam.

The day’s rituals began with the ceremonial procession of the Utsava deities to the Sampangi Prakaram, where temple priests and Vedic scholars performed the Maha Shanthi Homam in accordance with Agama traditions.

This was followed by the sacred Snapana Tirumanjanam. Special pujas were also performed to the Golden Kavachams before they were ceremonially adorned on the deities.

In the evening, the deities, resplendent in the Golden Kavacham, participated in the Sahasra Deepalankara Seva and later took out a procession through the four Mada Streets, offering devotees an opportunity to have darshan and seek divine blessings.

Among those present were Pedda Jeeyar Swamy, Chinna Jeeyar Swamy, TTD Additional Executive Officer C.H. Venkaiah Chowdary, TTD Board members Sadasiva Rao, Janaki Devi and Suchitra Ella, Temple Deputy Executive Officer Lokanatham, temple priests, officials and a large number of devotees.
