Jio, Canva partner to offer premium design tools to millions of users

Mumbai, Sept 15 (TNT): Reliance Jio and Canva on Tuesday announced a strategic partnership to make Canva’s visual communication platform available to millions of Jio users across India.

Under the partnership, eligible Jio users will get access to Canva’s premium creative tools free of charge for 12 months, the companies said.

Jio users on the Rs 399 plan will get Canva Pro, while those on the Rs 349 plan and all plans offering 2 GB daily data above Rs 349 will get Canva Pro Lite.

Users can claim the offer through the MyJio app by tapping the Canva offer, with no additional charges, the companies said.

The partnership combines Jio’s digital reach with Canva’s AI-powered design tools, enabling users to create presentations, social media posts, school projects, marketing material and other content through their phones.

Canva also supports Hindi and multiple Indian languages, while its AI-powered tools and templates are aimed at helping users create professional-quality designs without prior design experience.

Kiran Thomas, President, Reliance Industries Limited, said the initiative would make AI-powered design tools accessible to students, creators, entrepreneurs and small businesses.

Canva Co-founder and COO Cliff Obrecht said India was one of the company’s fastest-growing markets and the partnership with Jio would help expand access to its platform.
