Indira Mahila Shakti Bhavans to boost women’s economic empowerment in Telangana: CM
Hyderabad, Oct 7 (TNT): Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Wednesday said the newly constructed Indira Mahila Shakti Bhavans across the State would serve as key centres for promoting women’s economic empowerment and entrepreneurship.
In a post on ‘X’, Mr Reddy said the district-wise buildings, which are ready for inauguration, would provide women self-help group members with opportunities for skill training, employment, product manufacturing and marketing.
He said the centres would bring these facilities together on a single platform and help transform women members of self-help groups into entrepreneurs with access to markets, including global markets.
“When one woman gets an opportunity, a family’s future changes. When opportunities for women increase in the State, Telangana progresses further,” the Chief Minister said.
Under the theme of “Women’s Advancement – Telangana’s Progress”, the government was working towards its goal of turning one crore women into crorepatis by strengthening women’s economic empowerment and accelerating the State’s development, he added.
