HIPLEX 2026 generates business worth over Rs 150 cr, potential orders of Rs 500 cr
Hyderabad, Aug 11 (TNT): HIPLEX 2026, a major plastics industry exhibition, generated business transactions worth more than Rs 150 crore during its four-day run in Hyderabad, with organisers projecting potential additional business of around Rs 500 crore from leads generated at the event.
Organised by the Telangana and Andhra Plastics Manufacturers Association (TAAPMA) at HITEX, the exhibition attracted more than 55,000 visitors, including manufacturers, buyers, investors, technology providers and industry professionals from India and overseas.
More than 110 plastics processing and ancillary machines were sold during the exhibition, while nearly 75 per cent of the ancillary equipment displayed by participating companies was sold, organisers said.
Several machinery manufacturers secured orders for between one and six machines, indicating strong investment appetite among plastics processors for capacity expansion, automation and technology upgrades.
The organisers said the orders booked during the exhibition, along with business generated through direct enquiries, translated into transactions of over Rs 150 crore.
The leads and prospective orders generated during the event are expected to result in additional business of around Rs 500 crore over the coming months.
The exhibition also generated business opportunities across plastics processing, machinery, raw materials, moulds, automation, recycling, packaging, logistics and allied services.
The increased business activity is expected to support capacity expansion and technology adoption in the plastics industry besides generating additional GST revenues for Telangana, organisers said.
The quality of visitors was a key factor behind the business response, with a significant proportion comprising purchase decision-makers, manufacturers, entrepreneurs, investors and technology seekers.
Live demonstrations of plastics processing machinery enabled prospective buyers to assess equipment and technologies aimed at improving productivity, automation, recycling and manufacturing efficiency.
A dedicated Recycling Pavilion showcased technologies for converting plastic waste into commercially useful products, reflecting the industry’s increasing focus on circular economy and sustainable manufacturing.
TAAPMA said the strong machinery sales and business enquiries at HIPLEX 2026 indicated sustained demand for modern plastics processing technologies and growing investment opportunities in India’s plastics and polymer sector.
The association expects the business leads generated at the exhibition to translate into fresh investments, technology adoption, capacity expansion and new manufacturing facilities in the coming months.
