HDFC Bank Launches 12 CSR Projects Across Telangana Under ‘Parivartan’
Hyderabad, June 30 (TNT): HDFC Bank on Tuesday launched 12 community development initiatives across Telangana under its flagship Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, Parivartan, aimed at strengthening healthcare, education, sanitation and community infrastructure.
The projects were virtually inaugurated by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, the bank said in a release here on Tuesday.
As part of the programme, a 1.5 Tesla MRI facility was inaugurated at the Government Hospital in Bhupalpally in Telangana.
The virtual inauguration was attended by Bhupalpally MLA G. Satyanarayana Rao, Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao, Bhupalpally District Collector Rahul Sharma and representatives of HDFC Bank including Venkatesh Challawar, Executive Vice President and Regional Head, Sharukh R. Taraporewala, Zonal Head and Head, Partnerships & Communications, CSR, Jose Stephen, Zonal Head, Shravan Kumar, State Head, Government & Institutional Business, and Ms. Asia Sayyad, CSR Manager, Hyderabad
The 12 initiatives, spread across more than 40 villages in 10 districts, are expected to benefit over 12 lakh people annually.
The interventions cover Bhupalpally, Kamareddy, Sangareddy, Karimnagar, Adilabad, Rajanna Sircilla, Khammam, Peddapalli, Wanaparthy, Nagar Kurnool, Hyderabad, Nizamabad and Rangareddy districts.
The projects include support for two government hospitals, three Mobile Medical Care Units, 74 government schools, 35 government junior colleges, installation of 60 solar-powered highway streetlights, and construction of three public sanitation complexes at the Amrabad Tiger Reserve.
Under the education component, HDFC Bank will develop Parivartan Shalas, or model schools, with upgraded academic infrastructure, digital learning facilities, STEM education resources and improved sanitation.
Healthcare initiatives include the MRI facility at Bhupalpally Government Hospital, a 10-bed Intensive Care Unit at Kodangal Government Hospital and three Mobile Medical Care Units serving Hyderabad, Sangareddy and Nizamabad to improve access to healthcare in underserved areas.
The projects are being implemented in partnership with the Telangana government and development organisations, including Doctors For You, Smile Foundation, Ramky Foundation, BAIF and Learning Links Foundation.
Nusrat Pathan said the Parivartan programme reflected the bank’s commitment to creating sustainable and meaningful impact through investments in healthcare, education and community infrastructure in partnership with the Telangana government.
Kumar Sanjeev said the initiatives demonstrated the bank’s commitment to supporting communities beyond banking by investing in infrastructure that improves quality of life and strengthens public institutions.
Parivartan is HDFC Bank’s flagship CSR programme focused on six key areas—rural development, education, healthcare and hygiene, skill training and livelihood enhancement, financial literacy and inclusion, and natural resource management.
