In the second phase of the handover, the centre transferred 203,155 pages of digitised archival material, predominantly in Persian, along with 10 catalogue volumes covering 11,836 farmans (royal orders) issued by Mir Mahboob Ali Khan, the sixth Nizam, and Mir Osman Ali Khan, the seventh Nizam.
The records also include a file relating to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s visit, documents from the Daftar-i-Mal and Daftar-i-Diwani Mal-o-Mulki collections, and records concerning jagirs, inams, land grants, sanads, revenue and administration.
Historical maps and plans of forts, including Ark Fort and Udgir Fort, as well as materials relating to the Deccan Sultanate and the erstwhile Nizam Government, statistical abstracts and publications, were also part of the collection.
Dr. Zareena Parveen thanked Khaja Piri, director, and Shahab, supervisor of the Noor International Microfilm Center, for their work and the timely handover of the records. M.A. Raqeeb, Assistant Director, was also present.
The remaining digitised data and conserved records will be handed over to the State Archives shortly.
