Fire Breaks Out in Empty Coach of Hyderabad–Jaipur Special Train at Nampally station

Hyderabad, May 15 (TNT): A fire broke out in an empty coach of the Hyderabad–Jaipur Special Train at Hyderabad Deccan Railway Station on Friday evening while the rake was being placed on the platform ahead of departure.

According to South Central Railway (SCR), the incident occurred at around 6.45 pm, while Train No. 07020 Hyderabad–Jaipur Express was being positioned at the station. The train was originally scheduled to depart at 7.50 pm.

Railway officials said no passengers were inside the affected coach at the time of the incident and no injuries were reported.

The fire was brought under control immediately and the affected coaches were subsequently detached from the rake, SCR said in a release.

Following the incident, Train No. 07020 Hyderabad–Jaipur Express has been rescheduled to depart from Hyderabad at 10.20 pm on Friday instead of its scheduled departure time of 7.50 pm.
