Emirates Keen to Launch A380 Services in Hyderabad; CM Invites Airline to Set Up MRO Facilities

Hyderabad, July 11 (TNT): Emirates is keen to introduce Airbus A380 services to Hyderabad, the airline’s Vice President (India), Mohammed Sarhan, informed Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy during a meeting held here on Saturday.

Sarhan paid a courtesy call on the Chief Minister on the occasion of Emirates completing 25 years of operations in Hyderabad.

Welcoming the proposed expansion, Revanth Reddy urged the airline to increase the frequency of its services from Hyderabad.

The Chief Minister also invited Emirates to establish Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facilities at the proposed airports in Warangal and Adilabad, saying the State government would extend all necessary support for the operations.

He further requested the airline to support the recently launched Gachibowli Sports University by sponsoring training programmes for athletes.

According to an official release, Sarhan responded positively to the Chief Minister’s proposals regarding the expansion of airline operations, MRO facilities and support for sports training initiatives.
