Elaborate Arrangements Made for Chakrasnanam at Tirumala
Tirumala, Oct 19 (TNT): The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has made elaborate arrangements for the sacred Chakrasnanam scheduled to be held on Tuesday morning, marking the conclusion of the Srivari Navaratri Brahmotsavams.
TTD Additional Executive Officer Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, along with officials, inspected Srivari Pushkarini on Monday evening and reviewed the arrangements for the smooth conduct of the ritual.
Arrangements have been made to facilitate about 9,450 devotees to take the holy dip in Srivari Pushkarini at a time. A total of 17 gates, including seven entry gates and 10 exit gates, have been provided to regulate the movement of devotees.
Barricades have also been erected to ensure orderly movement and safe access to the holy waters.
Elaborate security arrangements have been made involving TTD Vigilance personnel, police, TTD staff, Srivari Sevaks and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams.
Swimmers and a boat have been kept ready at the Pushkarini as a precautionary measure.
Medical teams and ambulances from Ashwini Hospital will be available to provide emergency medical assistance. Officials said the water quality in Srivari Pushkarini had been tested and found to be free from contamination.
TTD has also made Annaprasadam arrangements for devotees participating in Chakrasnanam and staff deployed on duty.
LED screens have been installed in the temple precincts to enable devotees to witness the sacred ritual.
TTD officials said the entire day of Chakrasnanam would remain auspicious and appealed to devotees not to rush to take the holy dip.
They urged pilgrims to follow the instructions of officials, use designated entry and exit gates, and cooperate with the staff, noting that the sanctity of the waters would remain throughout the day.
TTD appealed to devotees to maintain discipline and observe the ritual safely to receive the blessings of Sri Venkateswara Swamy.
TTD JEO Prabhala Gopinath, Chief Vigilance and Security Officer Muralikrishna, District Superintendent of Police Subbarayudu and other officials and staff participated in the inspection.
