Ecobliss India CMD Chakravarthi wins Asia Business Leader of the Year Award

Hyderabad, Aug. 5 (TNT): Chakravarthi AVPS, Chairman and Managing Director of Hyderabad-based Ecobliss India Pvt. Ltd., has been conferred the CMO Asia Business Leadership & Excellence Award under the category “Asia Business Leader of the Year – Indian Pharma” in recognition of his contribution to strengthening India’s global pharmaceutical leadership and promoting patient-centric healthcare solutions.

The award was presented at a ceremony held at the Pan Pacific Singapore on Tuesday evening, recognising business leaders who have made significant contributions to their respective industries across the Asia-Pacific region.

Chakravarthi received the honour alongside business leaders from several countries, including Dr. Anne Phey, Founder and CEO of The School of Leadership; Rohit Gandhi, Group CEO of APAR Technologies Singapore; Munas van Boonstra, APAC Managing Director of TLC Worldwide; Charu Sethi of OpenRouter; and Dr. Tarita Shankar, Chairperson and President Designate of Indira University.

According to the citation, Chakravarthi was selected for his leadership in promoting Indian pharmaceutical capabilities globally, advancing patient-centric healthcare solutions, encouraging responsible pharmaceutical packaging and fostering international collaborations that strengthen confidence in India’s healthcare sector.

For over three decades, he has represented India at international pharmaceutical, healthcare and packaging forums, advocating the country’s strengths in affordable medicines, innovation and quality.

Under his leadership, Ecobliss India has emerged as a pioneer in patient-centric pharmaceutical packaging and medication adherence solutions, an area gaining increasing global importance for improving treatment outcomes and reducing medication errors.

Accepting the award, Chakravarthi said the recognition belonged to the entire Indian pharmaceutical ecosystem.

He said India has emerged not only as the “pharmacy of the world” but also as a trusted global healthcare partner by making quality healthcare accessible and affordable through generic medicines, antiretroviral drugs and innovative therapies.

Emphasising the importance of patient-centric innovation, he said thoughtfully designed pharmaceutical packaging improves medication adherence, enhances patient safety and contributes to better health outcomes.

He also underlined the need for stronger collaboration among governments, industry, academia and global partners to accelerate innovation and improve healthcare delivery worldwide.

Chakravarthi has been associated with several leading industry bodies, including FOPE, FABA, Pharmexcil, IPA, CII, FTCCI, INBA, LSSSDC, WPO and IIP, and has actively worked to strengthen global partnerships while promoting India’s pharmaceutical capabilities on international platforms.
