Donor Support in Cow Protection Commendable, Says TTD JEO Sharath
Tirupati, May 15 (TNT): Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Joint Executive Officer (Health & Education) A. Sharath on Friday directed officials to take immediate measures to protect 180 lorry loads of dry fodder donated to the TTD SV Goshala from unseasonal rains.
During his inspection of the goshala along with officials, Dr Sharath reviewed cow protection measures, fodder storage arrangements and infrastructure facilities.
The JEO appreciated TTD Board Member Jyothula Nehru, Nehru Foundation and Srinivasa Seva Trust Chairman T. Satyanarayana for donating dry fodder to the goshala.
He stated that cow protection is a sacred service and assured full support from TTD to donors coming forward for gosamrakshana activities.
Dr Sharath instructed officials to safely store the fodder using tarpaulin covers and to take advance measures to prevent any shortage of feed for cows.
Later, the JEO also reviewed the ongoing works of the “Centre of Excellence” being developed for conservation and improvement of indigenous cow breeds.
He directed officials to expedite the pending works and prepare a detailed action plan covering milk production, ghee preparation, curd and buttermilk distribution, and manpower utilisation.
Among those present were TTD SV Goshala Director AVN Sivakumar, and other officials.
