CavinKare Ability Awards 2027 invites nominations for achievers with disabilities
Chennai, Sept. 29 (TNT): CavinKare Pvt. Ltd. and Ability Foundation have invited nominations for the 25th edition of the CavinKare Ability Awards 2027, which recognise outstanding achievements by persons with disabilities.
Eligible individuals can submit nominations, either on their own behalf or through others, through the websites of Ability Foundation and CavinKare on or before October 27, 2026.
The awards carry a cash prize of ₹2 lakh under the Eminence category and ₹1 lakh each for the three Mastery Awards. Recipients will also receive a citation and trophy.
The awards are presented under two categories — the CavinKare Ability Award for Eminence, which recognises a person with a disability who founded an organisation that has made a transformative social impact, and the CavinKare Ability Mastery Awards, which honour persons with disabilities who have achieved distinction in their respective fields.
Since their inception in 2003, the awards have recognised 106 individuals from across the country for their achievements and contributions, the organisers said.
The initiative aims to recognise individual accomplishments, challenge stereotypes about disability and promote inclusion and empowerment in society.
Eligible nominees must be Indian nationals with disabilities recognised under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.
The selection process includes application scrutiny, interviews, field visits and a final evaluation by a jury.
