Bullet Motorcycle Project to Move at “Bullet Speed”: AP CM Naidu

Amaravati, May 18 (TNT): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said on Monday that the proposed Bullet motorcycle project in the state should progress at “bullet speed” and directed that construction and production activities be completed within 18 months.

The Chief Minister assured full support from the state government to the Royal Enfield project, which is coming up near Tirupati.

Royal Enfield CEO B. Govindarajan paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Minister at the State Secretariat.

Company representatives thanked the Andhra Pradesh government for the incentives being extended to the proposed motorcycle manufacturing unit.

The representatives informed the Chief Minister that the company is establishing the manufacturing facility with an investment of ₹2,500 crore near Rallakuppam and Vanalluru villages in Satyavedu mandal of Tirupati district.

The project will include a state-of-the-art manufacturing unit, testing track, research centre and vendor park ecosystem.

Govindarajan told the Chief Minister that the plant would have the capacity to manufacture 900,000 motorcycles annually.

He said the unit is expected to generate employment and livelihood opportunities for around 15,000 people, both directly and indirectly.

The company representatives also informed the Chief Minister that an electric motorcycle variant, “Flying Flea C6”, would be introduced soon.

In response, the Chief Minister briefed the Royal Enfield team on various renewable energy initiatives being undertaken in Andhra Pradesh, including solar and wind energy projects, pumped storage projects and battery energy storage systems.

Later, Royal Enfield representatives presented the Chief Minister with a miniature model of the Bullet 350 motorcycle. The Chief Minister also examined various Bullet 350 models and, wearing a helmet, mounted one of the motorcycles.
