BRAOU, IGNITUS Edutech Sign MoU to Establish Foreign Languages Training Centre
Hyderabad, June 17 (TNT): Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU) and IGNITUS Edutech Private Limited on Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for establishing a foreign languages training centre at the university campus to provide training in English and various international languages.
The MoU was signed by BRAOU Registrar Dr. L. Vijaya Krishna Reddy and Meeta Singh Kanvar, Director of IGNITUS Edutech, in the presence of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ghanta Chakrapani.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Chakrapani said that in an era of increasing globalisation, proficiency in foreign languages can significantly enhance employment prospects for students, including those from Ambedkar Open University, other universities, and graduates of polytechnic, engineering and professional courses.
He said the proposed centre would initially offer training in English, Korean, Japanese and German, enabling students to improve their employability in multinational companies and overseas job markets.
The Vice-Chancellor said that, in line with the vision of Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, the university is establishing a dedicated training centre that will combine foreign language instruction with skill-based courses to better prepare youth for global career opportunities.
Officials of IGNITUS Edutech, including Kanvar Prabjot Singh and Padma Priya Vemulapatti, attended the programme.
Among those present were In-charge Director (Academic) Prof. E. Sudha Rani, Skill Development and Vocational Training Centre Coordinator Prof. Pallavi Kabde, OSD to the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rabindranath Solomon, Course Coordinators Prof. Kishore Kumar Reddy and Prof. Rani Rajita Madhuri, along with faculty members, directors, deans and heads of various university departments.
The university said the initiative is aimed at equipping students with language and professional skills required to compete in an increasingly globalised employment landscape.
