Bombay Dyeing warns consumers against counterfeit ‘Coral Vine’ products

Mumbai, Nov 3 (TNT): Bombay Dyeing has cautioned consumers against counterfeit products being sold under its discontinued ‘Coral Vine’ brand by unauthorised sellers, falsely claiming an association with the company.

In a public advisory, the company clarified that it no longer manufactures or sells products under the Coral Vine name and that items currently marketed under the label by unauthorised vendors are not genuine Bombay Dyeing products.

In a release, the company said instances had been noticed of such products being sold through roadside stalls, shops and residential societies using fake labels and its brand identity.

It also expressed concerns over the quality of counterfeit products, stating that they could pose potential health risks, including skin allergies, to consumers.

Bombay Dyeing advised customers to verify the official hologram on products and purchase them only from authorised dealers and retailers.

Details of authorised outlets are available on its website at https://retail.bombaydyeing.com/store-locator.

The company also cautioned consumers against purchasing products from roadside vendors, footpaths and open markets, particularly when offered at unusually attractive prices.

It said legal action was being initiated against unauthorised sellers, including filing complaints with local authorities, and urged consumers to report suspected counterfeit products through its official communication channels.

Bombay Dyeing, which has a legacy of over 147 years in the home textiles sector, said the advisory was part of its efforts to protect consumers and safeguard the authenticity of its products.
