The rituals began with Kumkuma Archana to the sanctified Kalasha at the Bhajan Hall.
The Kalasha was later taken in a ceremonial procession to the Poornachandra Auditorium amid Vedic chanting.
The Yajna commenced with the traditional invocation of Agni through the churning of wooden sticks.
The sacred flame was transferred to the Yajna Kundam, where priests performed Rudra Homam, offering oblations into the fire.
The proceedings included Sahasra Lingarchanam, the worship of 1,000 sacred clay Lingams, and Surya Namaskar in reverence to the Sun.
Parayanam of the Ramayana, Srimad Bhagavatam and Devi Mahatmyam was also undertaken, with students of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba chanting verses from the Devi Mahatmyam.

Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust Managing Trustee R.J. Rathnakar, Sri Sathya Sai District Collector Syam Prasad, senior members of the Trust and Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, along with students, staff and devotees, participated in the rituals.
A large number of devotees gathered at the Poornachandra Auditorium for the commencement of the Yajna, which featured Vedic chants, sacred offerings and prayers.
Instituted by Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba in 1962, the Veda Purusha Saptaha Jnana Yajna aims to preserve Vedic wisdom and uphold the principles of Sanathana Dharma.
The week-long observance also emphasises the values of devotion, selfless service, righteousness and universal love.
