AP: Ten Home Guards on contract appointed for traffic control in Tuni
Kakinada, June 12 (TNT) : For the first time in Andhra Pradesh, ten home guards were appointed on contract basis for traffic control duties in Tuni town.
As Home Guards recruitment is a time taking process ,Tuni MLA Yanamala Divya after due consultations with the district SP Garikipati Bindu Madhav and other high officials in the department and enlisting the cooperation of Deccan fine chemical India company MD KVLP Raju gave the ten contract home guards their appointment letters at a function held on Friday.
Yanamala Divya MLA while complimenting the contract Home Guards has presented them Uniform and Helmet along with the appointment letters.
Tuni town circle Inspector M Gita Ramakrishna said that these contract Home Guards would be deployed in places where traffic is heavy and the police would get some relief and also the traffic regulation would be effective .
He said everyone would not get opportunity to work along with the police as such advised the contract Home guards to take the job as a challenge and discharge their duties sincerely with commitment and bring the desired change in the traffic control.
Police officials thanked the MLA Divya for showing a solution to traffic control.
