AP player Vaishali wins bronze at world Jr. Soft Tennis championship

Tirupati, Oct 29 (TNT) : Andhra Pradesh soft tennis player A.S. Vaishali won a bronze medal in the girls’ doubles category at the 5th World Junior Soft Tennis Championship-2026 being held at Jingshan, China, from October 26 to 31.

Vaishali, who hails from Vijayawada, secured the medal partnering Tamil Nadu’s Thanika Thayumanavan after their impressive performance against Japan.

Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) Chairman Ravi Naidu on Thursday congratulated Vaishali on her achievement, saying the duo had brought recognition to India on the international stage.

He praised the players for their hard work, determination and dedication, describing their success as an inspiration to young sportspersons, particularly aspiring female athletes.

Naidu expressed confidence that Vaishali would achieve further success in international competitions and bring more laurels to Andhra Pradesh and the country.
