AP Minister Subhash helps Draksharama Market fire victims
Kakinada, June 26 (TNT): Andhra Pradesh Minister for Labour Vasamsetti Subhash on Friday exhibited a gesture towards fire victims of Draksharama Market by announcing Rs.20 lakhs financial assistance through his family trust Ms Satyam Vasamsetti Foundation and also mobilizing philanthropists to extend another Rs.60 lakhs assistance.
The Minister who visited Draksharama market the scene of fire mishap in which 48 shops including grocery, wholesale vegetables and other commodities godowns were gutted on Thursday night , was very much moved and on the spot announced the personal trust assistance on humanitarian grounds.
We don’t leave the fire victims who lost all their belongings and their livelihood to their fate but it is our responsibility to come to their rescue in distress’ the Minister remarked.
He also assured the fire victims of further assistance for their speedy rehabilitation.
Earlier along with Dr Ambedkar Konaseema district Joint collector Vykom Nydia Devi, District SP Rahul Meena, RDO Saralavathi the Minister visited the market and the gutted shops .
The Joint Collector assured the fire victims to extend assistance through the disaster management scheme.
SP Rahul Meena also expressing grief over the fire mishap has announced Rs.50,000/- financial assistance through the Police department.
Though people say that electrical short circuit was the reason, SP said detailed investigation was being done on the cause of the fire accident.
District TDP president Guttula Sai, General secretary Gandham Pallamraju, Janasena party incharge Polisetti Chandrasekhar, BJP incharge Doodala Sankara Narayana and other coalition parties leaders followed the Minister during the visit.
