AP: JNTUK, Coromandel International sign MoU for technical collaboration
Kakinada, Aug 27 (TNT): Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada (JNTUK) and Coromandel International Limited on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for mutual technical collaboration.
The agreement was signed at the premises of Coromandel International’s Kakinada unit by JNTUK Registrar Dr R. Srinivasa Rao and Coromandel International Kakinada Unit Head K. Jagannadham in the presence of JNTUK Vice-Chancellor Prof. C.S.R.K. Prasad and Coromandel Senior Vice-President M. Gnanasundaram.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Prasad said students would have better employment opportunities if courses were designed in line with industry requirements and accompanied by appropriate training.
He appreciated Coromandel for providing skill development opportunities to rural youth through its skill development centre, where the first batch had successfully completed training.
Gnanasundaram said students could improve their employment prospects by developing technical skills. He said Coromandel was extending support to the education and medical sectors through its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
Later, Prof. Prasad distributed training completion certificates to the outgoing students.
Coromandel officials Ramana Bhoogi (AVP-HR), Vamsi Krishna (AGM-CSR), Yasodhara Krishna, Priyambika, P. Padmanabham and PRO Varanasi Ravikumar, besides JNTUK Rector Prof. P. Subbarao and Directors Prof. A. Swarnakumari and Prof. N. Balaji, attended the programme.
