AP EDCET-2026 results achieves 99.30% Pass Percentage, Says Nara Lokesh
Kuppam, May 26 (TNT): Andhra Pradesh Education Minister Nara Lokesh on Tuesday announced the results of the Andhra Pradesh Education Common Entrance Test (AP EDCET)-2026, which recorded an overall qualification percentage of 99.30 per cent, with 19,741 candidates qualifying for admission into B.Ed courses across the state.
The examination was conducted by Dravidian University on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education on May 8, 2026, in two shifts across 90 centres covering all 13 combined districts of Andhra Pradesh.
According to the results released by the university, a total of 24,628 candidates registered for the examination, of whom 19,880 appeared and 19,741 qualified. Officials said registrations increased by 38 per cent compared to the previous year.
The results were declared in the presence of Nara Lokesh, who was thanked by university authorities for his support and guidance in conducting the examination successfully.
Congratulating the successful candidates, Lokesh said in a post on X, “This year, an exceptional 19,741 students have successfully qualified out of the 19,880 who appeared, securing an outstanding overall pass percentage of 99.30%. Hearty congratulations to all the qualified candidates as they take the next step toward their teaching careers.”
Among streams, Mathematics recorded the highest number of registrations with 7,498 candidates, followed by Social Studies with 7,318 candidates and Biological Science with 5,748 candidates. Mathematics also registered the highest qualification rate at 99.86 per cent.
The category-wise analysis showed 100 per cent qualification rates among several Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe categories, while the overall qualification percentages stood at 99.48 per cent for male candidates and 99.22 per cent for female candidates.
Officials said preliminary answer keys were released on May 12 and objections were accepted till May 14 before final answer keys were prepared and the results processed. Candidates can access their rank cards through the official AP EDCET website.
