AP CM Naidu to Release Rs 3,125-Cr Under Annadata Sukhibhava-PM Kisan Scheme on June 20
Amaravati, June 19 (TNT): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will release Rs 3,125.47 crore under the Annadata Sukhibhava–PM Kisan scheme at Linganguntla village in Chilakaluripet mandal of Palnadu district on Saturday.
The financial assistance will benefit 46,85,838 farmer families across the State, including 45,69,817 land-owning farmers and 1,16,021 Recognition of Forest Rights (RoFR) beneficiaries cultivating land under the Forest Rights Act, an official release said here on Friday.
The Annadata Sukhibhava scheme, one of the key promises under the government’s Super Six programme, provides annual financial assistance of Rs 20,000 to each eligible farmer family.
Of this, the State Government contributes Rs 14,000, while the Central Government provides Rs 6,000 under the PM-Kisan scheme.
As part of the first instalment for the current year, the State Government will release Rs 5,000 per farmer family, while the Centre will provide Rs 2,000 under PM-Kisan, taking the total assistance to Rs 7,000 per beneficiary.
According to official figures, the government disbursed Rs 8,985.41 crore under the scheme during the previous year, including Rs 6,560.18 crore contributed by the State Government and Rs 2,425.23 crore by the Central Government.
The assistance is being released directly into the bank accounts of eligible beneficiaries in instalments by the State and Central Governments.
