Airtel partners with Youtube to offer Youtube premium in Rs 200 prepaid entertainment bundle
New Delhi, Oct 23 (TNT) : Bharti Airtel has partnered with YouTube to bundle YouTube Premium subscriptions for its prepaid subscribers, adding the video-streaming platform to its consolidated digital entertainment lineup.
Under the partnership, the YouTube Premium benefit will be packaged alongside Airtel’s existing ₹200 entertainment top-up, which provides 30GB of additional data with a 28-day validity, the Airtel said in a release on Friday.
The top-up is accessible to all prepaid subscribers holding an active base plan.
The integration gives users ad-free access to regular YouTube content and Shorts, background playback, offline video downloads, and YouTube Music Premium.
YouTube Premium joins Airtel’s existing entertainment portfolio, which includes Prime Video, JioHotstar, ZEE5 Premium, SonyLIV, and more than 18 other OTT streaming services bundled through the operator’s digital platform.
Customers purchasing the ₹200 pack can activate the benefit via the ‘Rewards & OTTs’ section inside the Airtel Thanks app.
The bundled entertainment subscriptions will run co-terminus with the 28-day validity of the top-up voucher, with customers permitted to re-claim the access upon subsequent pack purchases.
The tie-up comes amid a broader pivot by Indian telecom operators toward value-added content packs, aiming to cater to rising consumer data consumption across short-form creator content, on-demand streaming, and digital music services within single aggregated recharges.
