RINL Warns Against Fake Vizag TMT, Urges Customers to Buy Genuine Products
Visakhapatnam, Aug 2 (TNT) :Â Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, has urged the public, builders, contractors and customers to purchase only genuine Vizag TMT rebars and remain vigilant against counterfeit and sub-standard products being sold in the market under the company’s brand name.
In a statement issued on Sunday, RINL said it had noticed instances of unscrupulous elements selling duplicate or inferior quality TMT rebars using deceptive branding and misleading claims that the products were genuine Vizag TMT.
The company cautioned that such counterfeit material does not conform to Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) specifications and could seriously compromise the safety, strength and durability of residential, commercial and infrastructure projects.
RINL advised customers to insist on genuine Vizag TMT rebars carrying clear RINL branding while making purchases.
The company also urged customers to verify the authenticity of its products by contacting the nearest RINL branch or marketing office.
