IIRM Holdings to Raise Rs 1,500 Million
Hyderabad, July 31 (TNT): Hyderabad-based IIRM Holdings India Ltd, a BSE-listed insurance and risk management company, on Friday announced plans to raise Rs 1,500 million through a combination of equity shares and fully convertible warrants to fund business expansion, strategic acquisitions and working capital requirements.
The capital raise, priced at Rs 143.28 per share, will be led by Carpediem Capital and Sanshi Fund-I, subject to shareholders’ approval and other statutory and regulatory clearances, the company said in a release here.
Announcing the investment, IIRM Holdings Chairman Ramakrishna V said the funding endorses the company’s vision and growth trajectory and would help accelerate expansion, pursue strategic acquisitions and strengthen its leadership in the insurance and risk management sector.
According to the company, the flagship entity, India Insure Risk Management and Insurance Broking Services Pvt Ltd, was India’s first licensed insurance broking company and has been a key player in the insurance industry since 2003.
During FY26, IIRM Holdings handled gross written premiums (GWP) exceeding Rs 16 billion through its operations across India, Singapore, Sri Lanka, the Maldives and Kenya.
The group operates through 18 offices with over 500 employees, serving nearly 2,000 corporate clients, 100,000 retail customers and maintaining partnerships with more than 100 reinsurers worldwide.
The company said organic expansion and disciplined acquisitions remain central to its growth strategy, with plans to consolidate multiple insurance broking firms in India and overseas.
Expressing confidence in the investment, Carpediem Capital Co-Founder and Managing Director Hithendra Ramachandran said IIRM had built a scalable platform in a large, underpenetrated market and was well-positioned to emerge as a consolidator in the insurance broking sector.
Sanshi Fund-I Founder Saranya Agarwal said IIRM’s strong fundamentals, experienced management and clear strategic direction made it a compelling growth story.
IIRM Holdings said it has over 25 years of experience in asset protection, risk advisory, employee wellbeing solutions and insurance distribution, and currently manages an annual insurance premium portfolio of USD 195 million.
