Hyd: GITAM Announces 60 pc Placement Rate for 2026 Batch, Honours Student Achievers

Hyderabad, July 31 (TNT): GITAM (Deemed to be University), Hyderabad, on Friday announced a 60 per cent placement rate for its 2026 graduating batch.

The University celebrated Achievers’ Day 2026, recognising students for their outstanding achievements in campus placements and higher education.

According to the university, 771 students secured placements out of 1,347 students who opted for campus recruitment, while 324 recruiters extended more than 1,000 job offers across its seven constituent schools.

The GITAM School of Business (GSB) emerged as the best-performing school with an overall placement rate of 97.5 per cent, achieving 100 per cent placements at the undergraduate level and 95.8 per cent at the postgraduate level.

The GITAM School of Architecture (GSA) also recorded 100 per cent placements. The GITAM School of Computer Science and Engineering (GSCSE) led in placement volume with 544 job offers and 443 students placed, while the highest annual salary package offered during the placement season stood at Rs 16 lakh.

The programme, organised by the Career Guidance Centre (CGC), reflected the university’s focus on academic excellence, industry readiness and holistic student development.

Krishna Chaitanya GT, Director and Chief Operations Leader–Tax, PwC AC, and Richard King, Region Head–Academic Alliances, TCS, attended the event as Guests of Honour.

They encouraged students to embrace continuous learning, innovation and professional excellence and presented Career Fulfilment Certificates to the achievers.

Speaking on the occasion, GITAM Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. D.S. Rao said the placement season reflected the continued confidence reposed by industry in the university’s academic standards and career-readiness initiatives. He said GITAM would continue to strengthen industry partnerships and expand career opportunities for students.
