Kakinada: Minister Distributes Tricycles to Panchayats Under Swachh Bharat Mission

Kakinada, July 29 (TNT): Andhra Pradesh Labour Minister Vasamsetti Subhash on Wednesday distributed 26 tricycles to 25 gram panchayats in Dr B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district to strengthen village sanitation under the Swachh Bharat Mission.

Speaking at a programme held at the Mandal Parishad Development Officer’s office in Ramachandrapuram, the Minister said the state government is committed to the effective implementation of the Swarnandhra-Swachhandhra programme by creating infrastructure to improve sanitation in rural areas.

He said the tricycles would facilitate faster collection and transportation of household waste, helping improve cleanliness in villages and contributing to the government’s objective of building a healthier society.

Subhash appealed to residents to segregate household waste into wet and dry categories before handing it over to sanitation workers, and urged public representatives, officials and citizens to work together for the success of the Swachha Andhra programme.

MPDO Padma Jyothi, MPP Ambati Bhavani, Panchayat Raj Assistant Engineer Yesurathnam and TDP town president Undavalli Siva, among others, attended the programme.
