Toyota Kirloskar Motor Launches All-New Hilux in India; Bookings Open from July 28
Jaipur, July 29 (TNT): Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) launched the all-new Toyota Hilux in India, strengthening its SUV portfolio with a ninth-generation pickup truck that combines rugged capability, premium comfort and advanced technology.
Built on Toyota’s IMV platform, the new Hilux is designed to offer durability for heavy-duty applications while ensuring comfort for urban drives and adventure journeys, the company said in a release here on Wednesday.
The company said the model reflects Toyota’s commitment towards delivering reliable mobility solutions under its vision of “Mobility for All.”
The all-new Hilux features a 2.8-litre BS6 Phase 2 diesel engine producing 150 kW (204 PS) of power and 500 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and an 80-litre fuel tank for enhanced long-distance performance.
Designed around Toyota’s “Tough & Agile” concept, the vehicle gets a bold front-end inspired by the “Cyber Sumo” design theme, featuring a wide grille, sculpted hood and muscular proportions aimed at enhancing stability and road presence.
For off-road capability, the Hilux comes equipped with a 4WD system with High (H4) and Low (L4) range, Electronic Differential Lock and Downhill Assist Control (DAC), enabling confident performance across challenging terrains.
The premium cabin features soft-touch finishes, ergonomic design, smart storage solutions, 60:40 split rear seats and tilt-telescopic steering for improved comfort and convenience.
The vehicle also comes with a 12.3-inch infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Toyota i-Connect features, TFT displays, voice controls and an eight-speaker audio system.
Safety features include seven SRS airbags, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), ABS with Brake Assist, ISOFIX child restraint system, impact-absorbing body structure, panoramic view monitor, parking sensors and tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
Commenting on the launch, Masakazu Yoshimura, Chairman, Managing Director and CEO, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said the company continues to focus on customer needs by delivering mobility solutions built on trust, quality and reliability.
He added that the new Hilux strengthens Toyota’s commitment to offering durable and dependable vehicles to customers.
The all-new Hilux will be available in three variants — 4X4 VX AT, 4X4 GX AT and 4X2 GX AT. Prices start at ₹31.99 lakh (ex-showroom), with the top-end 4X4 VX AT priced at ₹36.69 lakh (ex-showroom).
Bookings for the new Hilux have opened from July 28, 2026, with deliveries scheduled to begin from the second week of August.
The vehicle will be offered in multiple colour options, including Super White, Platinum Pearl White, Attitude Black+, Emotional Red, Sulphur Metallic+ and Ash, along with genuine accessories for personalised styling.
