Telangana Deputy CM, Ministers Offer Bonam at Praja Bhavan
Hyderabad, July 26 (TNT): Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, along with his family, offered special prayers to Goddess Ammavaru during the Ashada Bonalu celebrations held with traditional fervour at Praja Bhavan here on Sunday.
Bhatti Vikramarka prayed for the peace, prosperity and welfare of the State and the well-being of its people.
His wife, Nandini Vikramarka, carried the traditional Bonam on her head and offered it to the Goddess in fulfilment of her vow, accompanied by family members and women devotees.
State Ministers Konda Surekha, Danasari Seethakka, Ponnam Prabhakar and Vakiti Srihari also participated in the celebrations along with their family members and offered prayers.
Minister Konda Surekha too carried the traditional Bonam as part of the rituals.
Praja Bhavan was transformed into a traditional Telangana village for the occasion, with devotees participating in the festivities amid chants in praise of Goddess Ammavaru, rhythmic drumbeats and devotional fervour.
The celebrations featured vibrant cultural performances, including Pothuraju processions, Kolatam by women devotees, and performances by Shivasattus.
Renowned folk artiste Jogini Shyamala enthralled the gathering with her energetic dance performance, adding colour to the festivities.
The Ashada Bonalu celebrations showcased Telangana’s rich cultural heritage and traditions, drawing large participation from devotees and visitors.
