Reliance Industries Q1 net profit rises 6.1% to record Rs 23,196 crore

Mumbai, July 17 (TNT): Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) on Friday reported a 6.1 per cent year-on-year increase in its recurring consolidated net profit to a record ₹23,196 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, driven by robust performance across its digital services, oil-to-chemicals and retail businesses.

The company’s consolidated gross revenue rose 24.5 per cent to ₹3,40,257 crore, while recurring EBITDA increased 10.1 per cent to a record ₹54,067 crore during the quarter.

On a reported basis, profit after tax stood at ₹23,001 crore, up 5.7 per cent year-on-year.

Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh D. Ambani said Reliance had made a steady start to FY27 despite geopolitical tensions and volatility in global commodity markets.

He said Jio Platforms maintained strong growth across mobility, broadband and enterprise services, while the filing of its Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) with SEBI marked a significant step towards its proposed initial public offering (IPO).

He also expressed confidence over the phased commissioning of Reliance’s new energy projects during the year.

Jio Platforms Ltd posted a record quarterly EBITDA of ₹20,865 crore, up 15.1 per cent, while revenue increased 12 per cent to ₹45,961 crore. The subscriber base crossed 533 million, including 285 million Jio True5G users.

Reliance Retail Ventures Ltd reported revenue of ₹90,408 crore, up 7.4 per cent year-on-year, while EBITDA stood at ₹6,309 crore. The retail business served 396 million registered customers and recorded 568 million transactions during the quarter.

The Oil-to-Chemicals (O2C) business recorded revenue of ₹2,01,803 crore, up 30.4 per cent, while EBITDA rose 17.2 per cent to ₹17,010 crore, supported by stronger transportation fuel margins despite global market volatility.

Reliance said capital expenditure during the quarter stood at ₹38,682 crore, with investments continuing across digital services, consumer businesses and new energy projects.
