Hyd: BDL celebrates 57th Formation Day, CMD calls for innovation and operational excellence

Hyderabad, July 16 (TNT): Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) on Thursday celebrated its 57th Formation Day across its units and offices, with Chairman and Managing Director Shailesh Vagerwal calling upon employees to strengthen their commitment to innovation, quality, timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

The celebrations began with the CMD cutting the ceremonial Formation Day cake in the presence of directors, senior officials, employees and representatives of recognised unions and associations, a defence release said here.

Floral tributes were paid to Dr B.R. Ambedkar, Babu Jagjivan Ram, Mahatma Jyotirao Phule and former President Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam in recognition of their contributions to nation-building.

Addressing employees, Vagerwal congratulated the BDL fraternity on the occasion and thanked serving and retired employees, their families, customers, officials of the Ministry of Defence, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), business partners and other stakeholders for their continued support in the company’s growth.

He urged employees to remain focused on customer satisfaction, operational excellence, quality, innovation, teamwork and timely execution of projects to meet the evolving requirements of the Armed Forces while contributing to the government’s vision of Viksit Bharat.

Outlining his vision for the company, the CMD said BDL aims to emerge as a globally respected defence manufacturing enterprise driven by a customer-first approach, uncompromising quality, innovation, accountability, integrity and teamwork.

Reiterating BDL’s commitment to the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative, Vagerwal stressed the need for employee empowerment, continuous learning, digital transformation, technological excellence, safety, sustainability and stronger partnerships with the Armed Forces, DRDO, industry and academia to enhance the company’s capabilities.
