Telangana DGP Anand congratulates boxer-DSP Nikhat Zareen, urges her to inspire young athletes
Hyderabad, July 14 (TNT): International boxing champion and Telangana Police Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Nikhat Zareen called on Director General of Police (DGP) C.V. Anand at the DGP office here on Monday.
During the meeting, the DGP congratulated Nikhat Zareen for her achievements in international boxing and appreciated her contribution in bringing recognition to Telangana and the country through her sporting excellence.
Anand expressed confidence that Nikhat Zareen would continue to achieve greater success in national and international competitions and bring further accolades to Telangana, India and the state police department.
Sharing his experiences as a sportsperson, the DGP highlighted the importance of discipline, dedication, physical fitness and mental strength in achieving success in sports.
He advised her to remain focused on her goals and continue inspiring young athletes while effectively balancing her responsibilities as a police officer and an international boxer.
Nikhat Zareen thanked the Telangana government and the police department for recognising her sporting achievements by appointing her as a DSP.
She said she considered the position a great responsibility and pledged to continue striving for excellence, winning more medals for the country and bringing further recognition to Telangana and the Telangana Police.
