Sri Sathya Sai Run & Ride grand finale to be held in Puttaparthi on July 26
Puttaparthi, July 12 (TNT): Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust Managing Trustee R.J. Rathnakar on Sunday called upon devotees and the public to participate in large numbers in the Sri Sathya Sai Run & Ride – Spirit of Unity, scheduled to be held at the Sri Sathya Sai Hill View Stadium in Puttaparthi on July 26.
Addressing the Sri Sathya Sai District Review Meeting at Prasanthi Nilayam, Rathnakar said the event would be the grand finale of the nationwide Run & Ride campaign organised as part of the Birth Centenary celebrations of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
He said the programme had already been conducted in 47 major cities across the country under the aegis of the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, witnessing participation from thousands of people.
Rathnakar said the initiative aims to promote unity, fitness, universal brotherhood and human values while supporting the Fit India Movement. Inspired by the teachings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the campaign encourages people to lead healthy, value-based lives and strengthen social harmony.
Expressing confidence that around 15,000 participants from the Sri Sathya Sai district, including members of Samithis, Bhajan Mandalis, Youth, Sevadal, devotees and the general public, would take part in the event, he appealed to people to make the programme a success.
He also appreciated the district’s service activities and urged volunteers to expand their outreach for the benefit of society.
During the meeting, Rathnakar felicitated nine newly appointed zonal in-charges of the Sri Sathya Sai district by presenting them with portraits of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
The review meeting also assessed arrangements for the July 26 event and discussed ongoing and upcoming service activities.
Among those who addressed the meeting were National Service Coordinator S. Koteswara Rao, Andhra Pradesh State President R. Lakshmana Rao, State Youth Coordinator C. Gautham, State Joint Service Coordinator Viswanath Reddy and Sri Sathya Sai District President Satyanarayana Murthy.
