Telangana Minister Azharuddin launches online portal for Christian minority welfare schemes

Hyderabad, July 3 (TNT): Telangana Minister for Minorities Welfare and Public Enterprises Mohammed Azharuddin on Friday launched the Online Beneficiary Management and Monitoring System (OBMMS) for the Telangana Christian Minorities Finance Corporation (TGCMFC), enabling eligible beneficiaries to apply online for various self-employment welfare schemes.

Speaking after inaugurating the portal and also launching online applications for the Sewing Machine Scheme for Christian minority women and the Motor Bike/e-Bike/Scooty/e-Scooter and Petty Business Schemes for eligible beneficiaries here, Azharuddin said the State government, under the leadership of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, is committed to the socio-economic empowerment of Christian minorities through transparent, technology-driven and citizen-friendly welfare initiatives.

He said the schemes are aimed at creating sustainable livelihood opportunities, promoting entrepreneurship and enhancing the economic independence of Christian minority women and youth.

Eligible applicants can submit their applications through the OBMMS portal from July 3 to July 18, 2026, up to 5 p.m, he informed.

Under the eligibility criteria, applicants for the Sewing Machine and Petty Business schemes should be between 21 and 55 years of age, while applicants for the Motor Bike/e-Bike/Scooty/e-Scooter schemes should be 21 to 50 years old, he said.

Annual family income should not exceed Rs 2 lakh in urban areas and Rs 1.5 lakh in rural areas, the Minister added.

Government Advisor on Minorities Welfare Mohammed Shabbir Ali, TGCMFC Chairman Deepak John, Principal Secretary B. Shafiullah, Director of Minorities Welfare Abdul Hameed, TGCMFC Managing Director P. Sabitha, the Hyderabad District Collector and senior officials attended the launch.
