Grand Rathotsavam of Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy held Appalayagunta amid Govinda Chants

Tirupati, July 2 (TNT): The annual Brahmotsavams of Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy at Appalayagunta witnessed a grand Rathotsavam on Thursday morning.

Amid Vedic chants, devotional music and continuous Govinda namasmarana, thousands of devotees pulled the sacred chariot with devotion as the Lord blessed devotees during His procession through the four Mada streets.

Later, Snapana Tirumanjanam was performed to the Lord and His Consorts with milk, curd, honey, sandalwood, turmeric and coconut water.

The Aswa Vahanam will be held from 7 pm to 8 pm on Thursday.

The Chakrasnanam, marking the conclusion of the Brahmotsavams, will be conducted on July 3.

The rituals include Snapana Tirumanjanam, Chakrasnanam in the temple Pushkarini, followed by Dwajavarohanam in the evening, signifying the ceremonial conclusion of the annual festival.

Temple Deputy Executive officer Harindranath and other officials, priests and a large number of devotees participated in the festivities.
