BJP Will End Dynasty Politics, Corruption in Telangana, Says Nitin Nabin

Hyderabad, June 28 (TNT): BJP National President Nitin Nabin on Sunday asserted that the party would intensify its grassroots campaign in Telangana with the aim of ending “dynasty politics, corruption and misrule” and forming a BJP government in the state.

Addressing the Booth Pramukh Sammelan here, Nabin said the BJP’s organisational strength lay in its booth-level workers and called upon every booth president to work towards ensuring the party’s victory in the upcoming municipal elections.

“My strength is the booth karyakarta, my strength is the organisation and my strength is the ideology of the Bharatiya Janata Party,” he said, urging party workers to strengthen the organisation at the grassroots.

Nabin paid tributes to BJP workers who had sacrificed their lives for the party in Telangana and remembered Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee for laying the ideological foundation for the vision of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.”

Claiming that the BJP had consistently supported the Telangana statehood movement, he recalled former Union Minister Sushma Swaraj’s support for the formation of Telangana in Parliament and said the BJP stood with the people of the state without electoral considerations.

Launching a scathing attack on the Congress government in Telangana, Nabin alleged that it had failed to fulfil its electoral promises, including providing jobs and releasing a job calendar.

He also accused the previous BRS government of large-scale corruption, alleging that the Kaleshwaram project had become an “ATM” for the erstwhile regime and describing the Medigadda barrage as a symbol of corruption and administrative failure.

He accused both the Congress and the BRS of practising dynasty politics and compromising with the AIMIM, while asserting that the BJP stood for development and nationalism rather than vote-bank politics.

Calling upon party workers to reach every household, Nabin asked them to publicise the welfare schemes of the Narendra Modi government and connect with beneficiaries across all sections of society.

“Booth jita toh chunav jita (Win the booth, win the election),” he said.

Highlighting the achievements of the NDA government at the Centre, Nabin said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had lifted 25 crore people out of poverty through welfare programmes such as Ayushman Bharat, PM SVANidhi, housing, tap water, LPG connections and sanitation initiatives.

He also highlighted the Centre’s infrastructure projects in Telangana, including the Uppal Elevated Corridor, MMTS Phase-II, redevelopment of Secunderabad Railway Station, and the Kazipet Rail Manufacturing Unit.

Referring to former Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao, Nabin alleged that the Congress had failed to accord him due respect after his death and said the Modi government was fulfilling the developmental vision envisioned by the Telangana leader.

Reiterating the BJP’s commitment to national security, Nabin said the Modi government had adopted a zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism, Maoism and Naxalism.

Expressing confidence about the party’s prospects, Nabin urged BJP workers to take the message of development to every household and said the party would work towards bringing a BJP government to power in Telangana.

He asserted that the BJP’s “lotus” symbol would bloom in the Telangana Assembly elections in 2028.
