TTD Additional EO Launches Pulse Polio Immunisation Drive at Tirumala

Tirumala, June 28 (TNT): Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Additional Executive Officer C.H. Venkaiah Chowdary on Sunday inaugurated the nationwide Pulse Polio Immunisation Programme at Tirumala by administering polio drops to children near the Sri Venkateswara Temple.

Speaking on the occasion, the Additional EO said 25 Pulse Polio booths have been established across Tirumala to ensure comprehensive immunisation coverage.

He appealed to pilgrims and local residents to bring all children below five years of age to the nearest Pulse Polio centre and ensure they receive the life-saving vaccine.

The Pulse Polio immunisation programme is being conducted from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., he said.

TTD Chief Medical Officer Dr. Kusuma Kumari, doctors Dr. Kalyani, Dr. Padmaja and Dr. Naveen Babu, besides paramedical staff, participated in the programme.
