Seychelles Confers ‘Guardian of the Blue Horizon’ Honour on PM Modi
Victoria (Seychelles), June 28 (TNT): Prime Minister Narendra Modi was conferred the ‘Guardian of the Blue Horizon’, Seychelles’ highest honour for leadership in environmental conservation and sustainable development, in recognition of his efforts to promote green growth and climate action.
The distinction acknowledges Prime Minister Modi’s long-standing commitment to sustainable development and his vision for balancing economic progress with environmental protection.
The award is the latest in a series of international recognitions for the Prime Minister’s contributions to climate action, sustainable development and environmental stewardship.
In May 2026, the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) presented him with the Agricola Medal for his contribution to strengthening food security, transforming agriculture and promoting sustainable farming.
Earlier, in 2018, Prime Minister Modi was awarded the Seoul Peace Prize for advancing sustainable economic growth, global cooperation and inclusive development.
The same year, the United Nations conferred on him the prestigious Champions of the Earth Award in recognition of his leadership in environmental protection and global climate action.
