Major IAS reshuffle in Telangana after appointing new Chief Secretary

Hyderabad, June 26 (TNT): Hours after appointing Sanjay Jaju as the next Chief Secretary, the Telangana Government on Friday carried out a major reshuffle of senior IAS officers, transferring and assigning new responsibilities to 13 officers across key departments.

According to a G.O. issued by the General Administration (Special-A) Department, Sabyasachi Ghosh (1994 batch) was given full additional charge (FAC) as Special Chief Secretary, Handlooms, Textiles and Handicrafts Department, besides being entrusted with the additional charge of Director, Handlooms and Textiles, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of Telangana Handicrafts Development Corporation Ltd and Managing Director of TGCO.

He will continue to hold charge of the Tribal Welfare and Welfare departments, the GO said..

Shailaja Ramaiyer (1997 batch) was transferred from the Endowments Department and posted as Principal Secretary, Environment, Forests, Science and Technology (EFS&T) Department. She was also given FAC as Principal Secretary (Endowments) and Director General of EPTRI.

Ahmad Nadeem (1997 batch) was posted as Principal Secretary (Political), General Administration Department, besides being given FAC as Principal Secretary, Minorities Welfare Department. N. Sridhar (1997 batch) was transferred from the Mines and Geology Department and appointed Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, the GO said.

On his return from leave, Rahul Bojja (2000 batch) was posted as Principal Secretary, Disaster Management, while continuing to hold additional charge of the BC Welfare Department. M. Raghunandan Rao (2002 batch) was assigned FAC as Secretary, Mines and Geology Department.

Among other changes, B. Ajith Reddy (IDES-2012) was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Invest Telangana, while Md. Musharraf Ali Faruqui (2014 batch) was given additional charge as Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of TGREDCO.

Katyayani Devi (2017 batch) was posted as Special Secretary, Handlooms, Textiles and Handicrafts Department, K. Gangadhar (2021 batch) was transferred as Special Secretary, Roads and Buildings Department, and T. Venkanna was appointed Municipal Commissioner of the Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation.

The government also posted K. Vidyasagar as Director of Tourism with additional charge as State Nodal Officer, Prajavani, while K. Chandrakala was entrusted with FAC as Joint Metropolitan Commissioner (Core Urban Region, Land Pooling and Metro Rail), HMDA, the GO added..
