Thrilling Encounters Mark Another Exciting Day in Telangana Junior Basketball League
Hyderabad, June 22 (TNT): The Telangana Junior Basketball League (TJBL), currently being held at the Vijayabhaskar Reddy Indoor Stadium (KVRIS) in Yousufguda, witnessed another action-packed day on Sunday as young basketball players showcased their talent, determination and competitive spirit.
The league, aimed at identifying and nurturing emerging basketball talent from across Telangana, will continue until June 28, with matches being conducted daily from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
In the Under-15 Girls category, Nizam Royals registered a hard-fought 56-53 victory over Hyderabad Hurricanes in a closely contested match.
The Under-15 Boys fixture saw Hyderabad Hurricanes defeat Ranga Reddy Raptors 78-67, securing a convincing win after an impressive performance.
Nalgonda Speed Strikers enjoyed a successful outing in both Under-18 categories. In the Under-18 Girls match, they dominated Warangal Stallions with a comprehensive 50-24 victory.
The Under-18 Boys encounter produced one of the most thrilling contests of the day, with Nalgonda Speed Strikers edging past Nizam Royals 74-71 in a nail-biting finish.
Organisers said the league continues to provide a professional platform for young athletes to gain valuable competitive exposure while showcasing their skills before coaches, franchise owners and basketball enthusiasts. The enthusiastic participation from teams across the state reflects the growing popularity of basketball in Telangana.
The tournament will continue on Monday with another round of exciting matches featuring teams from different districts.
