Hyd: Woxsen University Hosts 68th Annual NASA Convention, Draws Over 5,000 Participants
Hyderabad, June 16 (TNT): Woxsen University hosted the 68th Annual NASA Convention (ANC) 2026 at its Hyderabad campus from June 11 to 14, bringing together more than 4,500 architecture students and over 500 architects, designers, academicians, industry leaders and policymakers from across the country.
Organised by the School of Architecture and Planning, the University, in collaboration with the National Association of Students of Architecture (NASA India), the four-day convention served as a major platform for architectural discourse, design innovation, academic exchange and industry engagement.
The event featured keynote addresses by internationally acclaimed Malaysian architect Kevin Mark Low, architect and academician Nuru Karim, and noted innovator Sonam Wangchuk.
A live performance by singer and music composer Amaal Mallik was among the major attractions of the convention.
Participants attended 10 masterclasses, 20 seminars and 60 workshops covering a wide range of subjects, including architecture, sustainability, urban development, emerging technologies, heritage conservation and the future of the built environment.
The programme also included panel discussions, exhibitions, forums and collaborative learning sessions.
A key academic highlight was the second edition of the NASA India Research Conference, which brought together students, researchers and practitioners to discuss emerging trends in architectural education and professional practice.
The conference provided a platform for knowledge exchange and fostered collaboration between aspiring architects and industry experts.
The convention also hosted the final juries of several prestigious national-level competitions, including the Reubens Trophy, Student of the Year Trophy, GRIHA Trophy and the Annual NASA Design Competition.
The contests showcased innovative design concepts, technical expertise and creative solutions developed by architecture students from institutions across India.
Recognised as one of the country’s largest student-led architecture gatherings, the convention reinforced the role of architectural education in addressing contemporary challenges and shaping future-ready built environments.
Woxsen University, located in Hyderabad, is among the first private universities established in Telangana and offers programmes across multiple disciplines, including architecture, design, business and technology.
